Paper is Back

When I first got my Etsy shop I actually started out with paper products and cards. I slowly migrated to knitting because with the intention of bringing the cards along for the ride. Somewhere along the way the cards got left on the curb, but now they're back! Check out our new card selections!

EtsyBlogger Featured seller

Hello eveyone! I amnow part of a team on Etsy called EtsyBloggers. Part of being a member is posting something about them on our own blogs.

This month's featured seller is Linda of pruitthandcrafts.

Rain Drop Necklace - As seen on Etsy Front Page
I immediatly fell in love with many of her products, including the necklace shown above. I hope you will check her out.

Balloon ornaments

A few years back Martha Stewart did a segment on making ornaments out of glue and string. I thought these were a great idea and was very eager to make them with my children. They are extremely simple and very elegant. This turned into a family tradition very quickly because not only does it produce a great product, it is a very messy process!

Well now that I am back at home and have my feet in Etsy again I am getting familiar with my new teams and groups. Today i want to dive a little deeper into one of my new favorites, the EtsyKids team.
I am amazed how welcoming a group of strangers can be. Chaos By Design and I have received nothing but overwhelming halp and support from this great group.
EtsyKids members are a designated group of people creating and catering to children. I look forward to getting to know people and being a part of the team. Be sure to look for member shops on Etsy, Facebook, Twitter, and all over the web!

I found this great giveaway that one of my Teammates on the HomeFront Team is doing. the rikrak studio and nicole's homemade treat's is teaming up to give away a $25.00 gift card for some mouth watering tasty treats. check it out here. It is well worth it!

O,Happy Monday!

Hello everyone I am so glad to share with you that we have been accepted to join several great Etsy Teams. I know a lot of you out there are Etsians too and would benefit from checking out some of these!
All of these groups are great but the Home Front Team is extra special to me because it supports the people who support our soldiers. My husband is Purple Heart recipient from the Iraqi war and I know how hard it is on the families who support our soldiers both while they are away from us and at home.

Fairy Hats

My little one loves this hat. She says it reminds her of a fairy’s hat and wants to wear it no matter what the weather. It is made out of a great acrylic yarn and currently comes in violet and yellow. The good thing about acrylics is that they are completely machine washable so you don’t have to worry about fading or shrinking.
It is a one-size fits most hat with a tie in the front allowing for a snug fit. I made this for my little girl when she was first born and she is currently 2. It has fit wonderfully with very little adjustment the entire time.

New blanket in our shop

This blanket is one of the first ones I made using the great 100% cotton yarn that is found in many of my blankets. I love the way it feels and it is so gentle on baby's skin. you can find the complete listing for this blanket here.

Good Evening

Hello everyone! Our Etsy shop has had a wonderful first two days. I am amazed at the interest in my products!
Keep an eye out for new things; they are being added everyday!
Also, check out some of our favorite shops to find all the items on your Christmas list this year. You can find a list of our favorites on our Etsy shop!

Have a great evening!

Hello everyone and welcome to Chaos By Design.
I have been working really hard for the last few months trying to get all of my ducks in a row to be able to open a new Etsy shop, Chaos By Design.
About nine years ago my mom taught me to knit while we were at her house for Thanksgiving. Now, this wasn't the first time she tried to teach me, in fact it was probably the thirty-first time! But I never got it until then. I was so enthralled by it that I went out and bought a bunch of yarn and made scarves for everyone I knew as Christmas presents. I even stayed up all night on Christmas Eve putting finishing touches on them.
Needless to say, I ran with it. Knitting became my favorite hobby and I was...( at it!
I love making things for my children especially cool little blankies and sweaters. Unfortunately, we live in the tropics so there isn't much use for sweaters but I still make them!
Chaos By Design is my way of sharing what I make with everyone!
Thank you for your interest and your support! You can find us here, at our Etsy Shop, and on Facebook.
Enjoy and Thank you!
